It became known that the crewed spacecraft Crew Dragon, owned by the American company SpaceX, was re-docked to the International Space Station in automatic mode. Earlier, as part of a docking operation, the ship successfully separated and docked with another gateway of the Harmony module. The TASS news agency writes about this with reference to data from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) of the United States.

The message says that in the process of redocking, there were four crew members on board. We are talking about American astronauts Michael Hopkins, Victor Glover and Shannon Walker, as well as Japanese astronaut Soichi Noguchi. According to available data, the re-docking began on April 5 at 13:30 Moscow time and took about 40 minutes.

According to reports, the redocking was required in order to make way for another Crew Dragon ship, which is scheduled to launch on April 23rd. It is assumed that he will deliver American astronauts Shane Kimbrow and Megan MacArthur to the orbital station, as well as Japanese Akihiko Hoshide and Frenchman Tom Peske.

It should be noted that this was the first time the Crew Dragon was re-docking to the ISS. Astronauts Hopkins, Glover, Walker and Noguchi arrived at the ISS on the Crew Dragon on November 16 last year. It is expected that on the same ship they will return to Earth on April 28.
