Chinese companies Oppo and Vivo, according to online sources, will soon place orders for the production of flexible displays for their first smartphones with a foldable design.

These are flexible OLED panels measuring about 8 and 7 inches diagonally, both of which can be folded inward. Thus, it can be assumed that devices made in the format of a book are being prepared for release.

It is known that Vivo will be equipped with an 8-inch flexible screen. According to rumors, this smartphone will receive an articulated joint with a special design that ensures reliability and durability. There are no details about the flexible Oppo device yet.

Earlier it was said that this year, Oppo, Vivo and Xiaomi will introduce a total of four smartphones with flexible screens. Xiaomi has recently announced such a novelty – the Mi Mix Fold model (shown in the images), equipped with an 8-inch flexible panel. Thus, we can expect that very soon Oppo and Vivo will show their answer.

Meanwhile, DigiTmes reports that global shipments of flexible displays for smartphones could reach 12 million units this year. Demand for such panels will increase as the range of folding devices expands.
