During November, Ukrainians purchased and registered 1,447,000 battery-powered cars. Compared to November last year, the demand for electric cars increased by almost 60%.

As reported in the press service of “Ukravtoprom”, compared to the previous month, the replenishment of the fleet of electric vehicles slowed down, the lag was 10% from the October result.

It is noted that the most popular electric car in Ukraine remains the Nissan Leaf. In one month, 248 such cars received Ukrainian registration.

The second result is Volkswagen ID.4 – 207 units. Tesla Model 3 is in third place with 129 units. The fourth most popular model is the Volkswagen e-Golf – 84 units. Rounding out the top five of the electric car market is the Tesla Model Y, which included 75 registrations in November.” Last month, 64 units of electric commercial cars were registered in Ukraine. In this segment, Renault Kangoo ZE is the first in the segment – 30 units.

“Just since the beginning of the year, more than 12,000 battery-powered cars have had their first registration in Ukraine, which is one and a half times more than in the same period of 2021,” Ukravtoprom concluded.

The war in Ukraine and the situation on the car market:

During July 2022, a month after the cancellation of benefits for customs clearance of imported goods, the market of new passenger cars in Ukraine increased by more than a quarter.

During July 2022, Ukrainians purchased and registered more than 3,600 new cars.

In July, Ukrainians purchased and registered 1,732 electric cars, which is 2.3 times more than last year and 64% more than the previous month.

The share of new cars in electric car registrations was only 11% against 20% in July 2021.

Since the beginning of the year, on August 10, almost 5,900 cars were added to the Ukrainian fleet of battery-powered cars, which is 34% more than in the same period of 2021.

As of September 8, 2022, Ukrainians have increased online demand for electric cars with an expressed intention to purchase in the second quarter of 2022 by 1.45 times compared to the first quarter to 384,000 requests.

In November 2022, Ukrainians purchased 3,090,000 new cars. In just 11 months of 2022, Ukrainians purchased and registered 34,000 new cars.
