In Odesa, during a conflict with a pensioner, a man shot him in the eye.

As reported in the Main Office of the National Police in Odesa, the incident took place on December 30 near a store on Posmytny Street.

“A fight broke out between two local men, 56 and 68 years old, during which the older citizen started throwing stones at the younger one, and the latter used a traumatic gun in response. As a result, the 68-year-old man received an eye injury.” , the message says.

The victim was hospitalized. The policemen seized the weapon registered to him from the shooter and delivered it to the territorial police unit.

Currently, the police are establishing the full circumstances of the incident, including the cause of the conflict.

The issue of entering information into the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations under part 1 of Art. 121 (Intentional grievous bodily harm) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and arrest of the shooter in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
