According to the American general, in order to deprive the enemy of the opportunity to fire from deep behind with impunity, the West should provide Ukraine with long-range weapons.
Retired US general Ben Hodges said that it is possible to stop missile attacks by Russian invaders on critical infrastructure of Ukraine with the help of strikes on missile launch sites and drones.
In an interview with “RBK-Ukraine”, the general urged Ukrainians to stop counting the remains of Russian missiles. According to him, instead, it is better to attack the Russian Federation in response.
“I don’t think anymore about whether the Russians might run out of missiles. They seem to have quite a few left. And there seem to be hundreds of drones that Iran has put in. The key tasks are: First, to do everything possible to protect the population. Second, to continue. Third – to go to the sources, that is, to strike the places from which these missiles and drones are launched,” said Hodges.

“We cannot allow Russia to shoot from shelters with impunity. The West’s restrictions on providing weapons with a longer range than the GMLRS actually gives Russia such shelters,” explained the ex-commander of the US forces in Europe.
Rocket terror of the Russian Federation
Since the beginning of October 2022, the Russian Federation has already carried out more than 10 massive missile attacks against the critical infrastructure of Ukraine. This led to permanent blackouts in civilian homes.
Oleksandr Kovalenko, a military-political analyst of the “Information Resistance” group, said that the massive Russian missile attacks on Ukraine will not end. According to him, the Russian Federation can prepare for use from 5 to 7 missiles per day. That is, it takes approximately 1.5-2 weeks for the Russians to form ammunition for a massive missile strike with a breakthrough in air defense.
The Armed Forces told whether it is possible to fully defend against Russian missile terror. Air defense forces of Ukraine destroy 70-90% of targets, but no system will give 100% guarantees. Against the background of the so-called “lull”, military intelligence predicts new Russian missile attacks on Ukraine in the coming days.
