Residents of Kyiv were urged to remain calm.
Today, February 2, explosions will be heard in the north-western suburbs of Kyiv, and residents of the capital can hear them.
As the Kyiv City Military Administration (KMVA) explained, the explosions were planned and Ukrainian sappers were working.
“Today, February 2, in the Buchansk district, pyrotechnics will eliminate explosive objects. Therefore, it may be loud in some areas of Kyiv. Keep calm! In case of an air alarm, go to the shelter,” the administration warned.
According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, today in Ukraine, so-called “mine pollution” covers about 170,000 square kilometers – more than a quarter of the country’s territory.

As wrote, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Ukrainian defenders destroyed 610 occupiers in a day. Russia’s total combat losses since the beginning of the full-scale invasion are tentatively 129 thousand 30 invaders.

It was also reported that Russian troops are actively scouting and are preparing for an offensive in certain directions. Despite heavy losses, the Russian Federation continues to attempt offensive operations in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiiv and Novopavliv directions.
