One of the teenagers picked it up from the ground and threw it with the others. The mine detonated,” said the head of Kharkiv . Oleg Synegubov of the regional military administration.
As a result of the explosion, all the children received shrapnel injuries.
“Their condition is satisfactory. However, five of them were hospitalized in the Izyum hospital. There is no threat to their lives now,” Sinegubov added.
He reminded of the high mine danger in the de-occupied territories of Kharkiv Oblast.
“In case of discovery of suspicious objects, in no case should you take them into your hands. It is very dangerous. It is necessary to immediately inform the experts of the State Emergency Service or the police about such a find,” – stressed the head of the OVA.
