Residents of the temporarily occupied territories were urged not to send their children on any trips organized by the occupying “authorities”.
The Center of National Resistance announced that the Russians plan to take Ukrainian children from the temporarily occupied territories of the Luhansk region to Karelia. This is explained by the alleged direction of “rest” and “recovery”.
“This week, a meeting was held between the Chairman of the Assembly of the Republic of Karelia, Elissan Shandarovich, and the Chairman of the so-called “People’s Council” of the SOT (temporarily controlled territories – ed.) of Luhansk Oblast, Denys Miroshnychenko. One of the key issues was the referral to “rest” and “rehabilitation” of children with of the occupied Luhansk region to the “beautiful resorts” of Karelia. Given the way Russians “relax” in polar latitudes, this does not contribute to recovery at all,” the Center emphasized.
It is noted that during such “conversations” about the deportation of Ukrainian children, the occupiers have two goals.
“Such frequent trips by the leaders of various regions with the intention of “bargaining” a certain number of children for themselves under the veiled pretexts of “rehabilitation”, “rest”, “cultural exchange” have both a purely practical purpose – writing off budget funds for these activities, and a creepy one – more and more there is evidence of abduction of minors and human trafficking,” the report says.
The Center of National Resistance urged the residents of the temporarily occupied territories not to send their children on any trips organized by the occupying “authorities”.
Deportation of Ukrainian children to Russia
In December 2022, the SBU established Russian agents in the Donetsk region, who were engaged in the deportation of Ukrainian children to Russia. They were allegedly taken to “children’s camps”. The scheme was organized by Russians Dmytro Gartsev and Dmytro Shmelov, who call themselves the “Minister of Health” and “Minister of Revenue and Taxes”. Both criminals are part of the inner circle of the leader of the “DPR” militants, Denys Pushylin.
Earlier, the director of the NGO Eastern Human Rights Group, Vira Yastrebova, said that 82,000 Ukrainian children could become potential victims of forced deportation to the Russian Federation.
In November 2022, analysts of the American Institute for the Study of War reported that the Russian authorities began openly advertising in the mass media the forced adoption of Ukrainian children. The Russian children’s ombudsman strongly supports the forced removal of Ukrainian children and their adoption to the Russian Federation – she herself even adopted a child taken from Mariupol.
