On Saturday, February 18, a new earthquake occurred in the Turkish province of Kahramanmaras. Earthquakes were recorded at a depth of 13 kilometers near the city of Heksuna.
Seismologists of the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) estimated the magnitude of the earthquake at 5.2. The tremors were recorded at 21:31 Kyiv time.
There are currently no reports of damage or casualties from the new earthquake.
Kahramanmaras province was badly affected by the February 6 earthquakes. It was the epicenter of the second powerful earthquake with a magnitude of more than 7, which shook the country that day.
