According to authoritative analyst Marc Gurman of Bloomberg, Apple intends to announce the branded mixed reality headset at an offline event due in the next few months.
The foodie says the mixed reality headset will be the company’s first all-new device since 2015. That is why Apple will present it offline. The company wants the media, partners and interested developers to be able to see the device in person. Recall that the last time Apple held an offline event was in September 2019. Since then, all presentations have been held online due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Earlier it was reported that Apple’s first AR / VR headset will be a very expensive high-end product. The company is prepared for a niche product with retail outlets selling no more than one headset per day. Apple expects to sell no more than 180 headsets in its first year of sales.
