CD Projekt RED studio presented a new strategic plan to investors. The company has pledged to develop multiple AAA games and extensions at the same time starting in 2022.
The Polish studio continues to recover from the problematic launch of Cyberpunk 2077 in December 2020 – the game is still being patched. CD Projekt RED also noted that its future project marketing campaigns will be shorter and will be carried out closer to release. Apparently, she learned this lesson after the situation with Cyberpunk 2077, which was first presented back in early 2013.
CD Projekt RED also plans to add more online features to future games. At the same time, she assured that she would remain an adherent of single RPGs like The Witcher and the same Cyberpunk 2077.
CD Projekt RED, prior to the launch of Cyberpunk 2077, was a studio that grew rapidly and had a good reputation (thanks in large part to the success of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt). The debut of the latest project proved to be a failure, but the company hopes to overcome it. One step towards this is the acquisition of Canadian studio Digital Scapes, which previously helped develop Cyberpunk 2077. This is the company’s first team outside of Europe.
Finally, CD Projekt RED has confirmed that an improved version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S will take place in the second half of this year.
