All the companies that manufacture main gadgets consider it their duty to produce their accessories for smartphones. And vivo, of course, is no exception – however, their related products reached the Russian market even longer than smartphones. But still I got there – we meet the vivo Wireless Sport headphones.
Vivo did not come up with some cunning names or indices – the name in this case speaks for itself. This is a sports headset. And wireless. And this, perhaps, is really the main thing that you need to know about vivo Wireless Sport.
However, the main thing is not everything, the Wireless Sport has quite a lot of details. By design, these are classic in-ear headphones with silicone earbuds (available in three different sizes) and 9,2 mm speakers. Since the model is positioned as a sports one, the headphones are equipped with silicone loops, thanks to which they better adhere to the ears.
In addition, these are not TWS headphones that synchronize both with the sound source and with each other (sometimes with interference), but a classic model with a wired connection to each other. There is little chance that the earbuds will fall out of your ear when you run or ride a bike. There is no chance that they will fall out and be lost at all.
On the wire, which is tucked away by the neck, there are two “weights” – one contains a battery and a microphone, and on the other there is a control panel made in a classical way. No sensors, just mechanical keys. Two are responsible for adjusting the volume, the central one for turning on the headset / controlling playback, and another one, standing a little to the side, for calling the voice assistant. The headphones themselves are equipped with magnets, they are connected to each other on the chest, if worn simply around the neck.
The performance is very high quality, both blocks and the headphone housing are made of metal, the cable is made of silicone. The earbuds do not tangle, even when you carry them in your pocket. An interesting detail – vivo Wireless Sport is protected from moisture and dust according to the IP55 standard (that is, you can use it in the rain or, for example, go to the shower, but not swim in the pool), while the USB Type-C port for charging is open here, without a plug … This could be embarrassing if it were not for the rich experience of using smartphones with the same open USB Type-C, but waterproof up to IP68.
The headphones are comfortable and lightweight, I did not notice any problems with their positioning in the ear. You can run and jump freely – the main thing is to choose the right size of ear cushions. As for the sound, then everything is about the same as you can expect from wireless headphones for five thousand rubles. Several characteristics for pro forma: Frequency range – 20-20000 Hz, impedance – 32 Ohm, sensitivity – 100 dB. In fact, the high frequencies are worked out well, the voice sounds very clear, a characteristic “sand” is noticeable at the middle frequencies, while the bass is rather weak. At the same time, the power is sufficient, which, in combination with good passive noise isolation, allows you to rely on vivo Wireless Sport in transport. There is no active noise insulation, as you know.
It is worth mentioning the enhanced connectivity via Bluetooth – the headphones support the LDAC data transfer protocol, which is increasingly common even in relatively inexpensive smartphones today. Accordingly, there is a request to reproduce a high-definition source. Vivo Wireless Sport connects to both Android and iPhone devices – the inaccessibility of the LDAC protocol there does not affect anything in this regard. The headphones work via Bluetooth stably and without interruptions. I will add that the headset connects with vivo smartphones without any unnecessary actions in the settings – bring it to the smartphone and that’s it, the pair is ready.
Separately, autonomy pleases – the built-in 129 mAh battery lasts about 10 hours of battery life (and 12 hours of work with a vivo smartphone). It takes about an hour and a half to fully charge.
How does the vivo Wireless Sport headset behave normally – there is digital noise cancellation, the interlocutor hears you well both in a noisy room and in windy weather.
The vivo Wireless Sport headset, in terms of the sum of its qualities, may not make a stunning impression, but it is a pleasant model without pronounced drawbacks: good ergonomics, good materials, decent passive noise cancellation, normal (at least expected) sound in combination with LDAC protocol support and moisture protection … It is quite adequate for 4 rubles, which they ask for vivo Wireless Sport.
