The independent Estonian studio ZA / UM announced in its microblog the forthcoming update 1.2 for Disco Elysium: The Final Cut, an extended edition of its role-playing detective.
As a reminder, an improved version of Disco Elysium made its debut last Tuesday, March 30, on PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store), PS4, PS5 and Google Stadia streaming service.
As it turned out, The Final Cut is far from perfect technically, which the developers at ZA / UM hope (at least partially) to fix with an upcoming patch.
According to the announcement, patch 1.2 contains fixes for non-working locations, interactive objects and non-loading objects, as well as improved controller control and fixes for various audio problems.
Update 1.2 targets all Disco Elysium: The Final Cut target platforms (listed above). There is no date or even a release date for the patch yet, but the premiere is probably not far off.
The Final Cut adds full English voice-over to Disco Elysium, an additional location with unfamiliar characters, four political quests, and new cutscenes, animations, sounds and lighting effects.
The original Disco Elysium was released in October 2019 for PC and earned high press reviews (91% on Metacritic). At the end of January 2021, the project received an update with a text translation into Russian.
