Personal data of Mark Zuckerberg got on the Internet as a result of a sensational leak of 533 million Facebook user accounts. This was stated by cybersecurity specialist Dave Walker.
The phone number, address, personal identifier of Mark Zuckerberg and some other information got into the public domain. Walker also joked that if journalists cannot get his comment, they can contact him at the number leaked to the network. In addition, the table contains the personal data of two other founders of the platform – Chris Hughes and Dustin Moskovitz.
A global data leak from Facebook happened on April 3. Unknown persons have posted the personal data of platform users in the public domain on one of the hacker forums.
The list includes information about platform users from 106 different countries. The maximum number of leaked records belongs to users from Egypt (44 million), Tunisia (39 million), Italy (35 million), the United States (32 million) and Saudi Arabia (28 million). In addition, the database contains personal data of 10 million Russians.
Hudson Rock researcher Alon Gal believes that attackers can use the database to hack user accounts and fraudulently through social engineering.
