Publisher Square Enix has shared new information about the action RPG NEO: The World Ends With You since its announcement, and also announced the date of disclosure of fresh details of the game.
On the broadcast, timed to coincide with the upcoming premiere of the anime series based on the series, the director of NEO: The World Ends With You Tatsuya Kando mentioned that the events of the project would unfold three years after the upcoming adaptation.
In addition, producer Tetsuya Nomura announced on the official microblogging The World Ends With You that additional details of the game will be released on April 9 ahead of the show’s debut.
In the same tweet, Nomura added that the developers plan to create a separate Twitter account dedicated to the game. The current account is also used to promote the anime.
The events of NEO: The World Ends With You will unfold in Tokyo’s Shibuya district, where four heroes, led by protagonist Rindo, will take part in the “Game of the Reapers” – a battle for survival.
NEO: The World Ends With You will offer detailed Shibuya, XNUMXD graphics in recognizable comic style, dynamic combat system, and soundtrack by Takeharu Ishimoto.
The release of NEO: The World Ends With You is expected this summer on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. The preview trailer, unveiled in November 2020, provides an insight into the 3D environment and gameplay.
