The new Forza Motorsport (introduced without a number in the name) was announced in July 2020. At that time, the project was at an early stage of development. Esaki spoke about the very first internal testing of the simulator back in December 2019.

Details are still scarce: the creators describe Forza Motorsport as “Rethinking” series and promise to combine the main advantages of the franchise with “New concepts and technologies”… Support for ray tracing, 4K resolution and 60 frames / s (on the older console model) is declared. The simulator will be released on PC, Xbox Series X and S. The game will immediately enter the Xbox Game Pass subscription. The release date has not been specified – apparently, the premiere will not take place this year.

Last November, Forza Horizon 4 received an update for the Xbox Series X and S with higher resolutions and frame rates, faster downloads, and graphics improvements.
