Bethesda Softworks and Arkane Lyon have postponed the Deathloop adventure shooter. It will be released on PC and PlayStation 5 later than scheduled – September 14, 2021.
The statement said the extra time was needed to improve the quality of the project and keep the team members healthy. The transfer will also help to achieve the main goal – to create an interesting and stylish gameplay. “We apologize for the long wait and thank everyone for their passion [for the game] and enthusiasm.”– added Arkane Lyon.
Deathloop was originally slated for release in May. The game is positioned as a puzzle, the main character of which is a hired killer caught in a time loop. To get out of it, he must eliminate eight targets before the cycle restarts. In the course of completing his mission, the hero will be able to get various upgradable weapons, gadgets, and also use supernatural abilities.
Deathloop will be a temporary console exclusive for PlayStation 5. Despite the $ 7,5 billion acquisition of Bethesda Softworks by Microsoft, if the game is released on Xbox consoles, it will not happen soon.
