When you use your browser Microsoft Edge, every time you enter your username and password on some site, it prompts you to save the password. In today’s article, we’ll take a look at how to disable the save password prompt in Microsoft Edge, or enable the save password prompt if you have it disabled.
Enable or disable the suggestion to save passwords in Microsoft Edge can be done in two ways: in the browser itself and using the Registry Editor. Below we will consider both methods.
Enable or disable the suggestion to save passwords in the browser settings.
1.Open the Microsoft Edge browser, left-click the three dots in the upper right => in the menu that opens, select “Options”;
2.Go down a little down in the list that opens and open “View additional parameters”;
3.Find “Suggest saving passwords” in the list and toggle the switch to the desired position. On position means that every time you enter a password on one of the sites, you will receive a browser prompt to save your username and password.
Off position means that every time you enter a password on one of the sites, you will not receive a browser prompt to save your username and password.
Flip the switch to the desired position and close the settings.
