But still, in Edge there is a way to export (import) favorites into an html file, and there is also another way to create a backup copy of bookmarks, and in this article we will look at these methods.

Back up your favorites by copying a folder.
In this method, you do not need to install additional software, it is enough to copy the folder and, if necessary, substitute it back.
1.Open Explorer => in the address bar, insert % localappdata% Packages Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbweAC MicrosoftEdgeuserDefault remove the space after the word Packages and after AC, press Enter.
2.The Datastore folder must be copied to any place where it will not interfere with you. Before doing this, it is advisable to close the Edge browser.
3.Right-click on the DataStore folder and select “Copy”.
4.Go to any folder in the explorer, right-click in an empty space and select “Paste”. Remember where you copied this folder, because this is your backup copy.
When you need to restore a backup of your favorites, close the Edge browser, find the folder that you copied to 3 paragraph of the instructions above => click on it with the right mouse button => in the appeared context menu select “Copy” => repeat 1 point from the instructions above => in the opened folder, right-click in an empty space and select “Paste” from the context menu.
Left-click on the line “Replace files in destination folder”.
