With the update of Moziila Firefox to version 57, the browser interface has changed completely, the settings menu now looks different and, accordingly, everything is not in the usual places. Today we’ll take a look at how to change the default search engine in Mozilla Firefox.
Open your browser => in the search bar enter about: search preferences # and press the Enter key (or click on the three lines at the top right and select “Settings” => on the left side select “Search”) => next to “Default search engine” select the desired search engine from the list.
In the same window, you can remove unnecessary search engines: next to “One Click Search” select the search engine you want to remove and click on “Remove”. If you have deleted some search engine and want to return it, click on “Restore the default set of search engines”. There is also a function “Find other search engines”, by clicking on it you will see a list of all available search engines and you will be able to select the one you need.
That’s all for today, if you have any additions – write in the comments! Good luck ?
