When you start typing any address in the browser, you are offered various options from the history of what you typed earlier. In some cases, there is a lot of things that you do not want to see or that you accidentally typed and now do not want to see in the proposed options. Spend a few seconds and get rid of the extra lines in autocomplete when you enter the address in the browser.
Unfortunately, in the browsers Edge, Opera and Yandex, I did not find how to remove extra lines from autocomplete, the only option in such browsers is to clear the entire search history. If you know other ways to get rid of only certain autocomplete lines – write them in the comments.
How to remove autocomplete addresses from Google Chrome
Open your browser, start entering the address you need, a list of autocomplete options will appear below => select the unnecessary address using the arrows on the keyboard (or by hovering the mouse cursor) and press the Shift + Del keys
The highlighted address will disappear immediately, in this way you can delete all unnecessary addresses.
How to remove autocomplete URLs from Mozilla Firefox
In Firefox, pages are removed from autocomplete in the same way as in Chrome, that is, start typing any address you need, use the down arrow on your keyboard (or just hover your mouse cursor) to the address that you do not need and press Shift + Del
The selected line will disappear, continue using the arrow to select unnecessary addresses and delete using the Shift + Del keys
How to remove autocomplete addresses from Internet Explorer
Open Explorer, start typing the address you want, and below you will see autocomplete options.
Using the down arrow (or simply hovering over the cursor) select the unnecessary address and at the end of it click on the cross.
By selecting addresses and clicking on the cross at the end of the line, you can delete all unnecessary addresses.
