Recently I had to reset my password in Windows XP, the application that I used previously did not want to load, most likely due to the old hardware. Remove password in Windows

To reset your password in this way, you need a flash drive or disk. Also download Windows 7 PE Compact from Flibustier (Morphius71rus). UTorrent must be installed on your computer.

1. Find and download on any torrent tracker Windows 7 PE Compact from Flibustier (Morphius71rus), I downloaded from rutracker.org, but registration is required there. Choosing on rutracker.org Download .torrent

2.Open the downloaded file.

3.Select the folder to download the Windows 7 PE Compact image to and click “Yes”.

4.When the image is loaded, you will need to burn it to a disk or USB flash drive. If you have a blank disk and no flash drive, then right-click on the downloaded Windows 7 PE Compact image and select “Burn disk image” => then follow the instructions.

  If you will be using a USB flash drive, we will use the Rufus utility to write an image to it. Go to the site rufus.akeo.ie => just below the “Download” inscription, left-click on the inscription Rufus 2.12 (928 Kb). Insert the USB flash drive into the computer, and save all the necessary information from it, then everything will be overwritten from it.

Open the downloaded file.

Make sure the USB stick is selected under the “Device” label. Click on the disk icon.

In the window that opens, select the previously downloaded Windows 7 PE Compact image and click “Open”.

Click “Start”.

A warning will pop up in front of you that all information from the flash drive will be destroyed. If you have already dropped everything you need from it, click “OK”.

When the green line reaches the end and says “Done”, click on “Close”.

5. Insert the disk or flash drive into the computer where you want to reset the password and turn it off. Now you need to turn on the computer and select boot from a flash drive (disk), on some computers the Boot Menu (to choose where to boot from) appears if you press the Esc key when turning on the computer, on other computers you need to press F11 when turning on. If you do not know which key to press so that when the computer is turned on, a window for selecting a device to boot appears – find your device in the instructions How to enter the BIOS and choose to boot from a USB flash drive. Very often, when the computer is turned on, it is written which button to press to bring up the device selection menu. When you get to the selection menu, select the flash drive (disk) and press Enter.

6.If the choice is made correctly, you will see an inscription press any key to boot from and dots will go, you need to press any key on the keyboard, if you do not have time to press, the installed Windows will start loading, and you will have to restart the computer again and choose to boot from the disk (flash drive).

First, a line will appear at the bottom and download files will start, then an empty desktop will appear.

7.  Move the mouse in the direction where the “Start” menu should be and you will see a menu for choosing various utilities. Please select Password => Password Changer.

8.  The point needs to be placed near Search for MS SAM Database on all hard disks and logical drivers, then click “Next”.

9.  Click “Next” again.

10. Select the account for which you want to remove the password and click “Next”.

11. Check the box Clear this User’s Password and press Save.

Click “Yes”.

Click “OK”.

In the left menu select “Shutdown” and “Shutdown”.
