Disable Windows 10 & 8 Lock Screen in Group Policies

This method works in Windows 10 Pro, Enterprise or Education, if you have a home version, go to the next method.

1.Open Group Policies: in the search bar or in the Run menu (run by pressing Win + R) enter gpedit.msc and press the Enter key.

2… Follow the path Computer Configuration Administrative Templates Control Panel Personalization. In “Personalize” on the right side, open “Prevent displaying the lock screen”.

3… Place a full stop in front of “Enabled” and click on “OK”.

Everything, in such a simple way, you turn off the lock screen, to enable it again – go back to group policies and in “Disable the display of the lock screen” put a point next to “Not configured”.

Disable Windows 108 Lock Screen in Registry Editor

Suitable for all editions of Windows 8 and 10. Download the lock screen archive => run the file => agree to the changes => the lock screen will be disabled. Or edit the registry yourself:

1… It is recommended that you create a system restore point before editing the registry.

2. In the search bar or in the “Run” menu (run by pressing the Win + R keys) enter regedit and press the Enter key.

3… In the registry editor, go to the path HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE Policies Microsoft Windows Personalization. The Personalization section may not exist if you did not find it in the Windows section – right-click on Windows => New => Section.

4… Name the new section Personalization

5… Click on the section Personalization right-click, select “New” => DWORD Parameter (32 bit).

6.Name the new parameter NoLockScreen

7. Open the NoLockScreen parameter you created and put in the value field 1and then click “OK”.

Now the lock screen will not be displayed. To enable it again, run the file from the archive, or in the 7th paragraph, instead of 1, put 0.

Disable lock screen in Windows 108 using a utility

Download it => unzip the archive => run Ultimate Windows Tweaker 4 => in the left sidebar select “Cusomization” => on the right side, check the box next to “Disable Lock Screen” and click on “Apply” => restart your computer or restart Explorer via Task Manager.
