Law enforcement officers record the stories of Kherson residents about their detention and torture during the occupation.

“In Kherson, during stabilization measures, the body of a man was found with his hands tied and with a gunshot wound to the head. The identity of the deceased and the circumstances of his death are being established,” the report says.
It is also emphasized that a message was received from Beryslav district that a local resident found the body of a fellow villager under the destroyed bridge. The police are investigating the circumstances of the man’s death.
The report says that a resident of Kherson contacted the law enforcement officers and reported that during the occupation of the city, the Russian military came to his apartment and conducted an illegal search, took hunting weapons and documents for them. “The applicant himself was abducted by the occupiers and held for 5 days in one of the torture chambers, after which he was released,” the police report.
It is also reported about one more resident of Kherson, who told the police that he was driving his car along the Beryslav highway in the direction of the village. Dariivka “He was stopped by the Russian military, took away the weapon from the applicant, after which the man was taken to a place unknown to him, where he was abused and tortured, and he was forced to confess his involvement in the local resistance movement,” the report says.

On November 16, according to the SBU, another torture chamber of Russian occupiers was discovered in the city of Kherson. The law enforcement officers found objects that directly indicate the signs of torture that were used on the patriots in the prisons.
The Minister of Internal Affairs, Denys Monastyrskyi, said that in the de-occupied Kherson region, 11 places of detention, where civilians were illegally detained, have already been discovered. In particular, it is known that people were definitely tortured in four of these places. According to the minister, 63 bodies of people tortured by the occupiers have now been discovered in Kherson region.
