A user with the nickname Luksusbums decided to make good money with GS:GO. He put up for sale an image for a weapon from a popular shooter for $400,000.
The player announced this on his personal account on Twitter, which surprised many readers. The colossal cost of the skin is explained by its rarity. Luksusbums is selling 661 ST MW 4xTT holo for AK-47 and $400k is just the starting price. The exterior includes four Titan Holo stickers, each of which costs an average of $60,000. Hence the huge overall price of the skin.
The user decided to make a deal when he got another rare look – Wild Lotus 4xR. After that, Luksusbums stopped using the 661 ST MW 4xTT holo and decided to sell it. However, in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive you cannot directly implement a skin and get money for it. To execute the transaction, it is necessary to use a third-party site, which was made by the owner of the species. However, Luksusbums equally faced difficulties. It was not possible to choose $400,000 as a starting price on the site, because the amount is too high. There are still no people willing to buy 661 ST MW, but types from GS:GO have been sold several times for unheard of money.
Previous record sales of skins from Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
- The lead is currently held by an anonymous collector. In mid-January 2021, he purchased the AK-47 Case Hardened skin with four Titan Esports team stickers for $150,000.
- Before that, the record holder was a player from China, whose name is also not disclosed. He bought StatTrak Voy in July 2020 for about $100,000.
- If Luksusbums manages to complete the deal, it will be a new record, and by a significant margin from previous sales.
