Ukraine offers the Security Council to adopt a resolution condemning all forms of energy terror.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, spoke at an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council, convened due to the massive Russian missile attack on Ukraine. He called on the meeting participants to support the Ukrainian formula for peace and to condemn Russian aggression.
As Zelensky noted during his speech, Ukraine proposes that the Security Council adopt a resolution condemning any form of energy terror.
“The reaction of all those who support the UN Charter is necessary. It is necessary to ensure the safety of Ukraine, Europe and all peoples who suffer from the consequences of this aggression,” Zelenskyy stressed.
According to the president, Russia offers the world nothing but terror, destabilization and disinformation. He added that any Russian formulas do not provide for anything else and called to support the Ukrainian formula for peace.
“What can a representative of a terrorist state tell you now? That peaceful people do not suffer from their rockets? with Chapter 7 of the UN Charter,” Zelenskyy added.
Missile attack on Ukraine on November 23
Russia continues to strike critical infrastructure facilities in Ukraine. On November 23, 2022, the Russian Federation once again shelled Ukraine, after which a number of regions were left without electricity.
According to the head of the National Police, Ihor Klymenko, rockets hit 16 infrastructure objects on the territory of Ukraine. In addition, in Vyshgorod, an enemy rocket hit a residential building, as a result of which three people were killed and 20 were injured.
Military expert Oleksandr Kovalenko believes that Ukraine has two weeks before the next massive missile attack by the Russian Federation.
