The amount of capacities available in the system is sufficient to optimally and evenly alternate the restrictions of consumers in each oblast and the city of Kyiv.
The energy system of Ukraine currently has a significant deficit – 30% of consumption needs.
NEC “Ukrenergo” informed about this.
“As of 7:00 p.m. on November 25, the energy system has a significant deficit – 30% of consumption needs. Phased restoration of the energy system continues. Repair crews are working around the clock. Electricity connection to household consumers continues,” the message says.
In order to keep the balance in the system under such conditions, the Dispatch Center of “Ukrenergo” already in the morning proved to each oblenergo the amount of consumption that they must observe during the day.
“Oblenergo independently determines the queues of consumer disconnections. The “Ukrenergo” dispatch center only proves the necessary volume of consumption restrictions. The amount of capacity available in the system is sufficient in order to most optimally and evenly alternate the restrictions of consumers in each region and the city of Kyiv,” – noted in companies
In “Ukrenergo” they called for economical consumption of electricity, which will allow to apply less restrictions aimed at preventing accidents, and will also enable energy companies to focus on repairing damaged facilities, which depend on the power supply of entire regions.
Strikes on the energy infrastructure of Ukraine
On November 23, Russia launched another massive attack. Air defense destroyed 51 out of about 70 cruise missiles.
Many regions experienced emergency power outages and were left without heat and water supply.
On November 25, electricity producers provided more than 70% of the country’s consumption needs. Thermal and hydroelectric power plants also started operating.
Energy expert Yuriy Korolchuk predicted what a “controlled blackout” would be like.
