On Wednesday, November 30, in the final round of the group stage of the FIFA World Cup, the French national team faced Tunisia.
The match between these teams took place at the “Education City” stadium in the city of Er Rayyan and ended with a sensational victory of the African team.
The first half of the meeting took place with the advantage of Tunisia, who had less possession of the ball, but hit the goal more often – four attempts, two of which were in the goal plane. France only possessed the ball and tried to prevent any attempts to take the goal from the opponent and almost did not think about their attacks.
In the second half, the situation continued, and as a result, Tunisia’s advantage was realized in the form of a scored goal. In the 58th minute, the striker Wahbi Khazri scored, who ran from the middle of the field to the penalty area and rolled the ball into the far corner. After that, Tunisia went on the defensive and played on the counterattack.
At the 90th + 8th minute, Antoine Griezmann equalized the score and brought, it seemed, a draw for his team. However, the goal was later disallowed after the final whistle, and Tunisia won 1:0.
