Oleksandr Kubrakov stated that his resignation does not change anything, and he continues to work in the Cabinet.
The Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, Oleksandr Kubrakov, commented on what his resignation from his post means, he said on the air of an information telethon.
In particular, he asked what was meant by the information announced by the representative of the government in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk that Oleksandr Kubrakov had written a statement of resignation from the post of Minister of Infrastructure.
“It’s purely technical. It doesn’t mean anything. We’re all working as we used to. Everything’s fine,” Kubrakov assured.
To a clarifying question, whether he remains a member of the Cabinet of Ministers, Kubrakov answered in the affirmative: “Everything is true.”
Kubrakov’s prospects in the Cabinet of Ministers
As reported, on November 30, Oleksandr Kubrakov submitted an application for dismissal from the post of Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine. “The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has received the application of Oleksandr Mykolayovych Kubrakov to resign from the position of Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine,” said the representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk, in his Telegram channel.
At the same time, People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak specified that first the people’s elected representatives will vote for Kubrakov’s release. The deputy clarified that the vote will take place this week.
According to the Ukrainian mass media, Kubrakov may get a new position in the Cabinet of Ministers, in particular, the position of Deputy Prime Minister. The Verkhovna Rada intends to consider this issue on December 1.
There was also talk of unification of the Ministry of Infrastructure with the Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories and the Ministry of Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories.
