This is related to certain logistics and processes of printing foreign passports.
As of today, the State Migration Service (SMS) does not record queues for issuing ID cards in Ukraine, but there are some problems with issuing foreign passports.
This was announced by the head of DMSU Nataliya Naumenko during an informational telethon.
“Despite the fact that there are power outages, the migration service is trying to issue documents as quickly and efficiently as possible. We currently do not have a queue for issuing ID cards at all. There is a certain tension with foreign passports, it is connected with certain logistics and their processes of printing, but we also observe that both the State University of State of Ukraine and the “Ukraine” printing plant are working quite powerfully in this regard,” she said.
Issuance of foreign passports
Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, as of the beginning of November, the State Migration Service has issued more than 2.1 million foreign passports.
Citizens of Ukraine who went abroad because of the war were allowed to receive two passports at once: domestic and foreign.
In Ukraine, since November 1, the urgent registration of domestic and foreign passports, as well as a number of other documents, has become more expensive.
