The German national team beat Costa Rica in the last round, but left the tournament.

On Thursday, December 1, matches of the final round of the group stage of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Group E were played.

The Japanese national team of this round sensationally beat the Spanish national team with a score of 2:1.

In the 12th minute, Alvaro Morata, the striker of the Spanish national team, opened the score with a pass from Cesar Azpilicueta. The return goal was scored in the 48th minute by Japanese midfielder Ritsu Doan, who fired a long-range shot at Unai Simon’s goal. Midfielder Ao Tanaka put the Japanese forward three minutes later.

In another match of this group, the German national team beat Costa Rica 4:2 in a spectacular match.

Hansi Flick’s team opened the scoring early in the match thanks to Serge Gnabry’s effort. Yeltsin Teheda equalized after the break.

After just over 10 minutes, Costa Rica took the lead, but just 3 minutes later Kai Havertz restored parity. Havertz then scored a double and then scored on Niklas Fühlkrug. Thanks to this, Germany won

Japan scored two sensational victories over Germany in the first round and Spain in the third to top the quartet with six points. Spain earned four points and took second place. These two teams will play in the playoffs of the 2022 World Cup in football.

The German national team collected four points and finished third due to the worst difference in goals scored and conceded compared to the Spanish.

Costa Rica scored three points after beating Japan in the second round to end the 2022 World Cup group stage in last place.

We should add that in the 1/8 finals of the 2022 World Cup, the Japanese national team will play against Croatia, and Spain will face the national team of Morocco.
