The assortment among hostels and beds has increased the most.

In the period from November 1 to December 6, the number of options for daily rent of housing in Ukraine increased by almost 9% compared to the same period last year.

As was informed by the press service of OLX Real Estate, the assortment of hostels and bed-places increased the most – by 48%. The number of available rooms for short-term rent increased by 20%.

However, this type of real estate remains in the top three popular among tenants, along with one- and two-room apartments. Thus, during the period from November 1 to December 6, OLX users responded almost 161,000 times to ads for daily rent of one-room apartments, more than 75,000 times to two-room apartments, and 25,691 times they were interested in houses. says the study.

Experts note that, as at the end of last year, people are now most interested in short-term rentals in large cities, as well as in mountainous settlements in the west of the country.

According to OLX, the five most popular cities during November-December and the average rental price per day are as follows: Kyiv – an average of UAH 7,100; Yaremche – UAH 1,000; Mykulychyn – UAH 2,000; Lviv – UAH 2,500; Dnipro – 4,500 UAH.

As for daily rent of houses, analysts report that it is most expensive to rent a house in Kyiv region (on average UAH 5,679, which is 9% more expensive than in December 2021), Dnipropetrovsk (UAH 3,766, which twice) more expensive than in December 2021 and Sumy (UAH 3 thousand, 20% more expensive than in December 2021).

At the same time, the most favorable rental price in the Rivne region (about UAH 1,000 per night). Moreover, the same prices were offered last year. Also, renting a house in the Poltava region will cost approximately UAH 1,000, which is 20% cheaper than last year. In Transcarpathia, the average price varies within 1,400 UAH per night, in Ivano-Frankivsk region – about 1,700 UAH. Compared to December 2021, prices in these regions remained approximately at the same level.

“Traditionally, the highest demand for renting apartments remains in megacities. As for prices, in some cities the cost of a night’s stay has remained at the same level as last year, and sometimes even increased slightly. For example, in Kyiv, Vinnytsia and Lutsk, the average price per night has not changed and is UAH 650 “At the same time, prices have increased most significantly in Lviv. The cost of rent has risen by 19% and is now UAH 775/day,” experts calculated.

Real estate for rent in Ukraine

As reported, before February 24, the median price of renting a one-room apartment in the capital was UAH 13,000, a two-room apartment was UAH 21,600, and a three-room apartment was UAH 46,100.

On the day of another massive strike on the Ukrainian energy infrastructure on November 15, the demand for rented apartments in Kyiv fell by 27% compared to the previous month. Currently, the average cost of renting a one-room apartment in the capital is UAH 9.5 thousand.
