American journalist Grant Wall died during the quarter-final match of the 2022 World Cup between the Netherlands and Argentina.

“He was given emergency medical care on the spot. Also, doctors did everything possible on the way to the hospital. We are in contact with the US Embassy and local authorities to make sure that the process of repatriating the body meets the wishes of the family,” commented on the tragic event in such words in the organizing committee. WC-2022, the cause of death was not specified.
The journalist himself recently stated that he caught bronchitis in Qatar. But Grant’s brother, Eric Wall, suspects that it was not just a sudden death, but a murder.
The fact is that Grant wore a rainbow flag T-shirt in Qatar to support his gay brother.
“I’m gay and that’s why he wore a rainbow shirt at the World Cup. My brother was healthy. He told me he got death threats. I don’t believe my brother just died. I believe he was killed and I’m begging you for help,” Erik tearfully said in a video message.
