The police are investigating the circumstances of the bus accident that happened near Chernigov. The minibus entered the checkpoint. It is known that seven passengers were injured.
The communications sector of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the region reported that on December 10, an accident occurred on the highway “Kyiv-Chernihiv-Novi Yarylovichi”: the driver of a shuttle bus, moving from the village of Roishche in the direction of Chernihiv, failed to control and crashed into a roadblock.
“Seven passengers and the bus driver sought medical help as a result of the bus hitting the roadblock structure,” the message reads.
All seven passengers of the minibus received injuries of varying degrees of severity. The driver was not hospitalized after receiving medical assistance.
Information about the event was entered into the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations, criminal proceedings were opened under part 1 of Art. 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the rules of road traffic safety or operation of a vehicle by a person driving a vehicle, which caused the victim a moderate injury), which is punishable by a fine or corrective labor for a term of up to two years, or by arrest for a term of up to six months, or restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years with possible deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years. The pre-trial investigation continues.
