Putin should be made “bringers of good news”.
The Kremlin instructed Russian state corporations to launch a conveyor belt of good news about Russian President Vladimir Putin. They should prepare a positive agenda of news and events in which the Russian dictator could participate.
As sources close to the Kremlin told The Moscow Times, the heads of Russian regions also received a corresponding mandate.
“The classification for “information exchange” – that is, the collection of the smallest significant positive information drives – went to the heads of companies in the energy, transport and communication spheres, as well as to the heads of Russian regions. The social well-being of Russians is decreasing, anxiety is growing and they are already tired. The president should clearly associate these conditions citizens with something positive, to be a “bringer of good news”, two unrelated officials explain the logic,” the publication writes.
It is noted that the “good news incubator” is a technology that is commonly used during elections, and it is already working. Sources of the publication noted that in Putin’s public schedule, along with Security Council meetings and international calls, such events as the grand opening of the turkey reproduction center and social facilities, congratulations on the anniversary of the state corporations “Rosatom” and “Rostec”, as well as opening of the renovated.
“Looking for new “positive news” in which Putin could take part is entrusted to dozens of state-owned companies. According to the Kremlin’s plan, they should patch up the hole in the image of the president and help state propaganda, which is rapidly losing TV audiences and is increasingly unable to find arguments for the benefits of failure at the front, mobilization and the threat of further loss of captured Ukrainian territories – have already forced Putin to reduce the frequency of public events and for the first time in 10 years to end the year without a traditional large press conference, the Kremlin is looking for ways to re-glue the broken cup of the propaganda narrative,” the article says .
The interlocutor of the publication emphasized that any statement about the retreat of Russian troops instantly increases Putin’s anti-rating.
“The chief has been silent about the surrender of Kherson for more than a month. The others are blowing their minds,” the source added.
Putin’s public speeches
The big press conference of Russian President Vladimir Putin (the so-called “direct line”) will not take place for the first time since 2012. The Russian historian Valery Solovei explained this by the fact that the dictator is unable to withstand prolonged intense tension.
The Institute for the Study of War emphasized that Putin dreamed of declaring victory over Ukraine, but the Armed Forces did not allow the bloody dictator’s plans to come true. Because of this, he tries to hide from “uncomfortable” questions and is afraid to speak in front of the public.
