All you need to do is insert a piece of paper to start correspondence with the AI.
Designer and engineer Arvind Sanjiv created an unusual typewriter called Ghostwriter, which writes texts on paper and can communicate with its owner on various topics.
All thanks to artificial intelligence – a Raspberry Pi microcomputer “lives” inside the device, which runs the GPT-3 neural network, writes Ars Technica.
All you need to do is insert a piece of paper to start correspondence with the AI. Its creativity and length of answers can be changed: for this, there are two additional handles on the body and a small OLED screen.
According to the author, his goal was to create a calm, meditative interface of an old typewriter, which helps to temporarily forget about the ubiquitous digital presence and plunge into an “emotional journey through paper and ink.”
The boom of neural networks: why they are needed
Over the past few years, neural networks have become a real breakthrough in the world of information technology and continue to amaze. Among them, the DALL-E neural network stands out, which triggered a boom in image generators.
And among Ukrainian users, the Different Dimension Me neural network, which turns any photo into anime, has recently gone viral. At the output, the user receives not only a “before/after” picture, but also a short video clip with a composition from some well-known anime.
also reported that the picture created by the neural network won the art competition. This case has already caused a lot of controversy and noise in the network.
