A new stage of Russia’s war against Ukraine is possible, American analysts believe.
Vladimir Putin’s new meeting with Oleksandr Lukashenko is probably part of the enemy’s efforts aimed at creating informational conditions for a new stage of the war against Ukraine.
In particular, the planned visit of Putin to Belarus on Monday, December 19, and the trip of the head of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu to Minsk, which has already taken place, may predict new offensive operations against the Ukrainian state, the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reported.
According to him, Ukraine is threatened by hostile offensive operations in the near future.
“Taken together, Putin’s meeting with the Russian command, … Shoigu’s visit (to Belarus – Ed.) and the meeting between Putin and Lukashenko indicate a new stage in the staging, planning and conduct of war and may herald the resumption of offensive operations against Ukraine in the coming months.” – analysts believe

Oleksiy Arestovych, an adviser to the Office of the President of Volodymyr Zelensky, said that the head of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation particularly wanted to agree on the transfer of weapons and military equipment.
On December 12, it became known that Vladimir Putin went to the headquarters of the occupying army, which is fighting against Ukraine. The Russian president also held personal meetings with commanders and listened to reports on the progress of the war.

A meeting between Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko is scheduled for December 19 in Minsk.
According to Mykhailo Podoliak, adviser to the head of the Office of the President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, the President of the Russian Federation will push his assistant to the offensive.
The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported that as of December 17, Belarus was not ready to fully participate in a ground operation against the Ukrainian state.
On the same day, the GUR reported that Russia is not ready for a new full-scale attack on Ukraine.
It should be noted that on February 24, Belarus allowed the Russian Federation to carry out a full-scale invasion of Ukraine from its territory.
