The level of Internet access in Kyiv fell by half.
Kyiv’s energy infrastructure has been seriously damaged as a result of recent rocket attacks and shelling using kamikaze drones.
This was announced by Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko during the opening of the main Christmas tree. According to him, the shortage of electricity in the capital has increased to 50%.
“As a result of the attacks that took place this morning, some of the drones damaged the energy system of the city of Kyiv and the region. In this regard, we are observing an increase in the electricity deficit up to 50%,” the mayor of Kyiv said.
According to the NetBlocks service, the level of Internet access in Kyiv fell by half. Now it is 50%. Similar indicators were recorded in the Ukrainian capital on December 16.
Infrastructure attack
On Monday, December 19, Kyiv and the region were attacked by Iranian kamikaze drones. Explosions rang out in the Shevchenkivskyi and Solomyanskyi districts.
15 out of more than 20 enemy UAVs were shot down over the capital. Despite this, the infrastructure was damaged. Part of Kyiv and three districts of Kyiv region remained without electricity.
