The Ukrainian leader received a postcard and a bottle of his favorite alcohol.
Commander of the British Army Admiral Tony Radakin presented the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny with a bottle of Glenmorangie whiskey and a Christmas card.
As Radakin said in an interview with The Telegraph newspaper, Zaluzhny heads the list of his contacts with other commanders. The admiral personally met with him three times in Kyiv this year.
Radakin noted that he sent Zaluzhny a Christmas card and a bottle of his favorite Scotch whiskey Glenmorangie.
“British military and diplomatic support for Ukraine has been constant, despite the political turmoil within the country. The stunning British and international efforts will continue,” the admiral said.
Valery Zaluzhny is the head of the committee
General Valery Zaluzhnyi has more than a decade of military experience behind him. In the summer of 2021, he became the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. President Zelenskyi highly appreciated Valery Zaluzhny’s performance of the assigned tasks.
Even the Russians praised Zaluzhny. In particular, Ukrainophobe Karen Shakhnazarov noted Zaluzhny’s talent as a commander. The general director of the “Mosfilm” film concern is delighted with the combinations invented by the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces.
However, there are rumors that some people from the entourage of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi would like to replace Zaluzhny with the current commander of the Ground Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi. The rumors have worried senior Western military officials, and both generals have been tight-lipped about the rumours.
