Five ships with 221,000 tons of agricultural products left the ports of Greater Odessa in the last two days.

As reported by the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, 29 ships are currently being processed in the ports of Greater Odessa, on which more than 1 million tons of Ukrainian agricultural products are loaded.

Five ships with 221,000 tons of agricultural products for Africa and Asia left the ports of Great Odesa in two days. Among them is the bulk carrier SEA BRIDLE with 25,000 tons of agricultural products for Libya. “Since the start of the grain corridor, the ports have sent 12 ships with 305,000 tons of Ukrainian grain to this African country,” the message says.

Currently, two vessels are moving along the “grain corridor” to load 89,000 tons of agricultural products.

“In the Bosphorus, 92 vessels are waiting for their turn to be inspected by the JCC. Yesterday, seven vessels received approval for further movement after the inspection,” the message reads.

The ministry reminded that for uninterrupted movement along the “grain corridor” there should be at least 12 inspections per day.

According to the agency, since August 1, 574 ships left the three ports of Greater Odessa, exporting 14.6 million tons of Ukrainian food to the countries of Asia, Europe and Africa.

Export of Ukrainian grain during the war:

On July 22, Ukraine and Russia, through the mediation of Turkey, signed separate agreements with the UN on the restoration of the export of Ukrainian agricultural products through the Black Sea after the start of the full-scale war.

On August 1, the first ship with Ukrainian food left Odesa since February 24.

On October 29, the Russians announced that they were ceasing participation in the implementation of the “grain initiative” agreements due to Ukraine’s alleged “terrorist attack” against ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in occupied Crimea.

218 ships were effectively blocked in their current positions.

The UN, Turkey and Ukraine declared their intention to continue exporting food and agreed to the movement of 14 ships with Ukrainian grain in the Black Sea. The UN emphasized that the Black Sea grain initiative remains valid, even despite the statements of the Russian Federation about withdrawing from the agreement.

On November 2, the Russian Federation announced that it was returning to fulfilling its obligations under the “grain agreement”.

On November 14, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that Ukraine can expand the grain corridor.

On November 17, it became known that the implementation of the “grain initiative” was extended for another 120 days.
