Currently, there are 11 enemy ships in the Azov and Black Seas.
On Friday, December 23, a Russian ship capable of carrying Kalibr cruise missiles entered the Black Sea. This was reported by the press service of the Naval Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“There are 9 enemy ships on combat duty in the Black Sea, 1 of them is a carrier of Kalibr cruise missiles. The total salvo is 4 missiles,” the message says.
In addition, two warships are in the Sea of Azov, but there is no information about the presence of Calibers in their arsenal.
Also, the presence of nine Russian ships in the Mediterranean Sea was recorded, five of which are carriers of Kalibr missiles. Their total salvo is potentially 72 missiles.
It should be noted that the last time the Ukrainian military reported the appearance of Caliber missile ships in the Black Sea was a massive missile strike on December 16.
Rocket attack on December 16
On the morning of December 16, Russian troops launched a massive missile volley at energy facilities in Ukraine. A total of 76 missiles were launched, including Kalibr sea-based missiles. 60 of them were shot down by Ukrainian air defense forces.
As a result of this shelling, energy infrastructure facilities and residential buildings were damaged in a number of regions, which caused local blackouts.
According to the spokesperson of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, Nataliya Gumenyuk, the occupiers are taking missile-carrying ships to the Black Sea only before launching another massive attack on Ukraine. The rest of the time, ships are kept in ports.
