Earlier, the Senate adopted an amendment on the transfer of seized assets of Russian oligarchs to Ukraine.
The Senate of the United States of America has approved the country’s draft budget for 2023, $45 billion is provided for aid to Ukraine and its allies.
“The US Senate approved the country’s draft budget for 2023 in the amount of 1.7 trillion dollars,” said the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak.
The draft budget foresees the allocation of aid to Ukraine and its allies in the amount of 45 billion dollars. Now the House of Representatives has to vote on the bill.
The law provides for 19.8 billion dollars for armaments and equipment of Ukrainian troops, as well as NATO allies. Another 12.9 billion dollars was allocated to stabilize the Ukrainian economy and compensate for losses.

On December 22, the US Senate also approved an amendment to seize the assets of Russian oligarchs and transfer them to the people of Ukraine. This fourth amendment was passed to the US Government Appropriation Bill, which would allow the Department of Justice, through the Secretary of State, to transfer proceeds from seized assets of oligarchs or other sanctioned organizations to the people of Ukraine. Now the House of Representatives has to vote on the bill.
