The main reason why it is difficult for Ukrainians to find a job in Germany is the language.
Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, Germany has accepted about 600,000 Ukrainian refugees of working age, but only 142,000 Ukrainians have been able to find work there.
As the German Embassy in Ukraine told LIGA.net, the main reason why it is difficult for Ukrainians to find a job in Germany is the language.
Another obstacle to the employment of Ukrainians in Germany is the recognition of professional qualifications, especially teachers and doctors.
On the other hand, the issue of child care also plays an important role in accepting work. Traumatic war experiences or mental stress can prevent employment.
