President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy declares that Ukraine will open new embassies in ten African countries.
According to the correspondent, the head of state said this during a speech at the annual conference of ambassadors of Ukraine.
The President emphasized the importance of paying special attention to those regions and continents where Ukrainian interests are still represented less than necessary for the good of Ukraine and protection from Russian aggression.
In particular, he said that it is about Africa.
“We are already restarting relations with dozens of African countries. Next year, we have to strengthen it. Ten states have already been determined where new embassies will be opened in Africa,” Zelenskyy said.
The president also announced that the concept of the Ukraine-Africa trading house has been developed and the opening of its representative offices in the capitals of the most promising countries of the African continent is planned.
As the president said, in general, with the involvement of all diplomatic institutions and trading houses, it is necessary to achieve representation of Ukraine in 30 countries of the African continent.
“Global growth and international stability in this century cannot be imagined without relations with Africa and other parts of the global South, Latin America, India, other Asian countries, in particular China and Southeast Asia, the entire region of the islands of the Indian and Pacific Oceans. Ukraine must find the format of its leadership in strategic processes in each of these regions,” Zelenskyi said.

Ukraine has only 10 embassies in 54 African countries, not all of which have an ambassador. African countries were among the priorities of Ukraine’s foreign policy.
At the same time, Ukraine is the leading exporter of food and metallurgical products to the African continent.
