The National Commission supplemented the decision on the order of entry of Ukrainian citizens, adopted on February 24.
Until February 1, 2023, Ukrainians were allowed to enter Moldova on the basis of an identity card and through the Moldovan-Romanian border and Chisinau airport.
According to Newsmaker, now citizens of Ukraine are allowed to enter Moldova from Romania, having an identity card: (ID card or ordinary internal passport) or other identity documents (identity card of a citizen of Ukraine, issued by the Embassy of Ukraine in Moldova, temporary card person, issued by the Migration Bureau, driver’s license, residence permit, military ID, etc.).
Crossing the border is also allowed in the presence of copies of these documents, documents in electronic format, or documents with an expired validity period.
Previously, these documents were sufficient only when entering Moldova from Ukraine. The National Commission supplemented the decision on the order of entry of Ukrainian citizens, adopted on February 24.
Border crossing with Moldova
On November 28, in connection with Russia’s attack on Ukraine’s energy system, the border police of Moldova announced the closure of six checkpoints on the border with Ukraine. The checkpoints Vulkaneshti – Vynogradivka, Myrne – Tabaki, Basarabka-Avgustivske, Chadyr – Lunga – Novi Trayany, Oknytsia – Sokyryany and Seits-Lisove have been suspended.
