Ukraine will be able to prevent such barbaric shelling, which Russia carried out in Kherson today, if there are more weapons and ammunition.

According to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov, our country needs more means of counter-battery warfare, more artillery and long-range ammunition to protect itself from Russia and avoid such tragedies.

“The barbaric shelling of Kherson by Russian terrorists is not only another war crime, but also revenge for its residents, who resisted the occupation and proved to the whole world that Kherson is Ukraine,” Reznikov noted.

He emphasized that the availability of the necessary weapons in Ukraine will guarantee that “Russian murderers will be punished and expelled from Ukraine.”

The Minister of Defense also recalled that the Convention on the Laws and Customs of War on Land prohibits the attack or bombardment of undefended towns, villages, houses or buildings. “But the Russian occupiers don’t care,” Reznikov said.
