As reported on the website of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, Minister of Finance Serhiy Marchenko and Regional Director of the World Bank for Eastern Europe (Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova) Arup Banerjee signed the Agreement on providing Ukraine with the fourth additional financing as part of the joint implementation with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD ) ), by the International Development Association (IDA) of the project “Supporting public expenditures to ensure sustainable public administration in Ukraine”. The amount of the loan is 500 million dollars.
“The loan funds will be provided on preferential terms under the guarantees of Great Britain: the loan repayment period is 18.5 years with a five-year grace period. The interest rate is 0.25% per annum,” the Ministry of Finance informs.
Raised funds will be used to reimburse state budget expenditures for social assistance payments to families with children, salaries for employees of state institutions of higher education and communal services.

International aid for Ukraine
In October, it became known that during 2022-2023, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development will allocate up to 3 billion euros to help Ukrainian businesses and the economy continue to function.
The World Bank has approved an additional package of financial assistance to Ukraine in the total amount of 610 million dollars. Funds will be allocated to address urgent needs for assistance and restoration of our state.
