Zelenskyi reshuffled the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi appointed three ambassadors.
The relevant decrees No. 878-882/2022 of December 23, 2022 were published by the Office of the Head of State. According to the documents, the ambassadors in Latvia and Bulgaria were changed, and the ambassador in Bahrain was appointed.
Thus, Oleksandr Mishchenko was dismissed from the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Latvia. Anatoly Kutsevola was appointed instead.
Vitaly Moskalenko was dismissed from the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Bulgaria, and Olesya Ilashchuk took the post instead.
“To appoint the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the United Arab Emirates Senik Dmytro Yuriyovych as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Kingdom of Bahrain on a part-time basis,” reads the presidential decree No. 878/2022.
Changes on the diplomatic front
In his evening video message, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced plans to intensify diplomacy next year – both with countries that are traditional partners, and with states where Ukraine has less influence so far.
Zelensky noted that he held a meeting with the ambassadors of Ukraine. According to him, the entire diplomatic corps of our country received the task of next year.
Before that, during a speech at the annual Conference of Ambassadors of Ukraine, Zelenskyi said that Ukraine would open new embassies in ten African countries.
