According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, flooding is possible in some areas.
Due to the threat of flooding, an increased level of danger has been declared in some regions of Ukraine. This is reported by the Ukrhydrometeorological center.
According to forecasters, on December 27-30, water levels in the rivers of the Pripyat and Western Bug basins are expected to rise by 0.1-0.7 meters.
“There is a possibility of water coming out of the floodplain and further flooding of the floodplain areas (I level of danger – yellow),” the warning reads.
As Weather reported, a storm warning was issued today, December 27, in four regions of Ukraine and in the Carpathians.
According to the Ukrhydrometeorological center, strong winds are expected in the Carpathian region and the Carpathian highlands. In particular, wind gusts will reach 15-20 m/s in the Carpathian Mountains, and up to 25-30 m/s in the Carpathian highlands.
And the level of danger is found in the following areas:
- Lviv;
- Ternopil;
- Ivano-Frankivsk;
- Chernivtsi
