Emergency power outages in Kyiv will continue until the restoration of power supply system nodes is completed, YASNO said.

There is still no possibility to turn off the lights in Kyiv again according to stabilization schedules.

Energy workers “with fantastic efforts were able to redistribute electricity, so all districts of Kyiv now have a periodic supply of light, the general director of the electricity supplier company YASNO, Serhiy Kovalenko, wrote about this in Facebook.

“But it is important: the repairs are continuing. The damaged nodes are still undergoing restoration work, they also cannot be connected to the network. What is important to understand: after the last shelling on the right bank of Kyiv, an acute shortage of electricity transmission nodes appeared… due to high consumption – sometimes overload per nodes reached 100% – all three groups of the right-bank and northern districts of the city had to be disconnected,” Kovalenko stressed.

According to him, temporary bypass schemes have now been applied, which made it possible to significantly reduce this deficit over the weekend.

“But these are temporary schemes that do not give the opportunity to return to stabilization schedules yet,” Kovalenko said.

Another reason for frequent shutdowns now, he explained, is the local activation of automation. But such accidents can be repaired only when there is voltage on the lines, so you have to wait for the next supply of electricity.

“Of course, the weekend was mainly with light thanks to the fact that the weather helped us and the need for consumption was somewhere 10-15% less than on Thursday-Friday. But as long as repairs continue, emergency shutdowns will continue. , no generation yet , neither the network yet gives the opportunity to switch to clear schedules,” Kovalenko wrote.
